Who links to me?

Frogging :-(

Well, at least it gives me another entry for Hazel’s competition!

Here I am – not looking happy – still it will teach me to measure as well as calculate when designing my own stuff!

(it really is worth clicking on it to see the background details left in in the interests of realism – note the Denise box about to fall off the chest of drawers behind me, and the “scary jumpers” on the back of the sofa next to me… )

Incidentally knitting is spreading at church – following my KIP the other week there were 3 of us KIPping today – all under 40 (well, under 20 apart from me!) – and the old ladies are starting to talk to us about it :-)

Yay, big crowds of knitters! :-) Sorry to hear you had to frog though. :-(

technically i wasnt knitting… but yeah they are talking – David is too :P he’s scared… do you reckon we could get him to learn?

Daisy – it was only a teeny tiny sleeve – too teeny tiny, that was the problem!

Ruth – I have the sneaking suspicion that David knows already… – he’s talked about turning a heel before now… and you did knit – you cast on all of 1 stitch before you dropped them all for me ;-)

lol true…. I been practising casting on in “spare time” waiting for kettle to boil! .... oh yeah… when you do a pearl row… and then go back to knit… its a lot harder to pick up the loops? Do i just need to get used to it? or am I twisting something the wrong way/pulling too tight – looks right though

Hi Anne, thanks for the photo. I’ll make sure it’s put on the site so that it gets considered along with the others when voting takes place.

Ruth – purling (who knows why it’s spelt differently – prob just to catch out the uninitiated!) – you’ve probably just pulling too tight – if the bumps look right, you’re probably doing the basic stitch right – wierd though – I usually make my knit rows tighter than my purl rows. Bring it along on Sunday & I’ll have a look.
