Happy Birthday Mother

My mother is 77 today!
When she was a child it became a game with her father to see whether or not the oriental poppies would be in flower by her birthday. Usually they are much earlier, but this year with the winter-that-lasted-for-ever spring was very late, but still, yesterday, just in time, we found this first poppy out in our garden:

And Adam and Ruth wanted their photo taken with the foxglove:
