4 people in the household, 7 days in a week makes 28 pairs of knickers on the line… (and 56 socks) Sigh.

Oh my. I never thought of it that way. I’m glad the kitties don’t wear socks and undies. :)Chris () (link) - 01 May '07 - 14:29
I love washing that’s dried on the line almost as much as I hate hanging it there! It has to be the most dreadful job! And hanging socks is the worst thing! The whole chore is made even more tedious for me, as the washing line is out of my reach unless I stand on tip-toes or climb the children’s slide!! (Hence we get a lot of “Mario, could YOU hang the washing out please – I can’t reach!!”

Roll on summer – everyone can wear sandals! I’m lucky here – Monkey never washes his vest!Daisy () (link) - 06 May '07 - 13:08
Anne, you are hugely blessed if there are actually 56 socks…in this house the pairs that enter the washing machine almost NEVER survive the process sufficiently to reach the line…I’m sooo envious.Kathryn () (link) - 07 May '07 - 20:36
