Who links to me?

It came...

First there was this:

Which opened to reveal this:

Which after a couple of hours (including cooking dinner – sausage and mash with broccoli – not taxing, but still… ) looked like this:

And by the time it was time for Adam’s bath, I’d spun this:

All this AND The High Life to watch this evening – what more could a woman ask for?

(Oh, not to have tonsillitis I guess, but it’s not too bad, and I’ve decided to try to ignore it – except for the bit where I got John to do most of bedtime… )

Update
And then I spun this:

John said “Of course, it won’t be anywhere near balanced”... Pah!!!

twelve comments:

Oh, he of little faith.

Oh fab, I’m glad it arrived safely. And why isn’t there a pic of you assembling it at the same time as cooking sausages?
Hope you feel better soon – TAKE THAT tonsils!

How dare he have so little faith! It looks great, I’m guessing you won’t be sending it back to Martin then when the trial is up ;-)

Does it have a name yet???
Woman are the mistresses of multi-tasking, but I have to take off my woolly hat to you :)

I have to say, I may not be up on the spinning, but wow, what a beautiful piece of funiture in it’s own right, before you spin beautiful yarn with it!

Louise () (link) - 19 June '07 - 18:20

Well done for succumbing to temptation. Your production of yarn will increase vastly now, and anyway fleece tends to be cheaper than bought yarn so overall you’ll be saving money… yeah. The skein looks lovely.

Hmm, think I may have to show this post to my husband in a hint, hint, I’ve got a birthday in a few months’ time-ish sort of a way…

I am rather impressed that Mr Anne knew what ‘balanced’ would mean….

Donyale Grant () (link) - 20 June '07 - 01:37

What a beautiful wheel and I love that your Mr. knew what balanced is, although he really should know better than to underestimate the wife!

Dorothy () (link) - 20 June '07 - 17:32

looks great. I to am impressed that he knew what balanced is, my other half wouldn’t have a clue, although he is taking me to Woolfest!
