Giving blood

Today was blood donation day at the college where I work. Students were given clear instructions that they should schedule their donations so that they didn’t have to miss lessons. So, strictly speaking, the two who missed at least a large part of my lesson this afternoon should have received some criticism. But how can I do anything other than applaud them when I read accounts like this.

I didn’t sign up for it this time. Next time I must.

I still feel bad about wimping out of going a fortnight ago when they had a donor session at work. I used to give blood, then passed out (very dramatically!) one time, then didn’t weigh enough for ages so now I seem to have a “thing” about it. Which is ridiculous…
