Daisy, it's OK, it's over!
Poor Daisy – a portfolio to put together for important professional stuff, and her Bloglines have been full of NaBloPoMo stuff – although I suspect few posts have been as lacking in content as some of mine.
But this is the last day of November. Thank you to everyone for your patience.
And I leave you with a question: how would you make wings for an angel? (A four-year-old angel in a nativity play that is.)
four comments:
I’d make angel wings using some bendy wire (coat hangers/florist wire)for aupport with some cheap plain net curtain wrapped around and them embelish with glitter and that opalescent plasticy tissue paper stuff. Attach to chils via cottin straps which can be made from old sheet/pillow cases. Hope this helps – it works in my head but I can say I’ve tried it. In fact I just thought of it. Same idea as above using a coat hanger but then sliding pair of white or pale tights over them and then decorate, or wire outline plastered in tissue paper and PVA with glitter mixed, have tried both and both work, there are other choices if you get stuck :) have done far to many nativity playsNic () - 30 November '08 - 23:25
Have done a shepherd, Joseph, and doing a donkey now, so the closest I come are wings for a vampire bat, but they’re very tiring for the child wearing them (a large bin liner opened up, cut to shape and fastened loosely with ties at the wrist and elbows) so wouldn’t recommend for an angel. Can’t wait to see the photos!Louise () (link) - 02 December '08 - 11:39
It has been quite fun going onto Bloglines and thinking “Ah well, maybe I won’t do the portfolio tonight then”!!I’m sure I once had angel wings made out of coat hangers.
